Social media trends for 2016
Do you have a social media plan for 2016? If not, you should consider maximizing your marketing efforts and approaching the right platform with the right tactics, because social media is now more powerful than ever.
Let’s take a look at the latest trends:
“Social as a discovery engine” (source: business2community)
This trend is actually great because it can generate new services such as “SEO optimization for social media channels”. This is especially relevant now when Facebook is testing its ‘Instant Articles’ feature which is set to be launched this year. This feature will allow publishers to post content without users having to leave the platform in order to read it.
“It’s Time to Sell on Social” (source: business2community)
It looks like this year Facebook, Twitter and other platforms will have a “Buy” button. This feature will have a huge impact on clients’ sales and from our point of view it will change sales processes entirely.
“Video Will Make Up A Majority of Social Networks” “Visual and video content are going to be key to successful social content strategies in 2016” (source: momentology)
According to this prediction, by 2017, 85% of the internet will be video. Beside videos, the focus will be on visuals (charts, photos and graphics) in order to trigger an emotional reaction.
“2016 is going to be the year of virtual reality and 360 video on social media” (source: momentology)
According to Travis Bernard, Social Media & Audience Development at TechCrunch, Facebook will adopt new content forms and creative storytelling especially since the consumer version of Oculus Rift is expected to be launched in Q1 of 2016. This is exciting and we’re sure that many people are looking forward to testing it!
“The Growth of Emoji Analytics” (source: socialmediatoday)
For the majority of us, emojis were not on our top list. But if we take into account the statistics, we can see an increase in their usage. That’s probably going to be the case in 2016 because they seem to be more appreciated by the audience than initially thought.
Lead generation stats for 2015
I’m sure that this is a great topic of interest for all of us, not to mention those who are struggling to develop a lead generation machine. In what concerns the top B2B statistics, Caroline Malamut wrote a brilliant article on Capterra’s blog:

According to PrizmMedia here are some interesting trends for 2016:
“Exit Popups”
It’s a great way to prevent the users from exiting the website. You can insert a “subscribe to our newsletter form” or, if you have an e-commerce website, you can insert a promotional pop-up “if you buy now, you will have 10% off”.
“Built-in Analytics”
With the build-in analytics feature, you can access insights about your clients and then target them with paid ads.
